Our Story
Needra founded this school in 1976 after training at the Maria Montessori Training Center in Sri Lanka. Almost 50 years later, she’s still here and so is the mission. Her daughter Nilanthi is now stepping into day-to-day operations, bringing the same hands-on approach to a new generation of families.

Montessori-Inspired, Not By the Book
We use Montessori methods along with other techniques. We’re not certified Montessori and we don’t pretend to be. We focus on independence, hands-on learning, and letting kids develop at their own pace.
- Hands-on Montessori materials (practical life, sensorial, math, language)
- Mixed-age classrooms
- No screens
- Independence-building activities
- Hot lunches prepared on-site daily
